Felicia is the Clinical Supervisor of our New Kensington BHRS Office. Felicia came to FBR in 2007 to take on the role of Clinical Supervisor. She came to us with a diverse background of experience in the mental health field.  She started as a TSS coming out of her undergraduate program.  The population that Felicia served was deaf (primarily the parents but some of the children as well).  Felicia was able to use American Sign Language at an Intermediate Plus range through her ASL studies (3 semesters) at the University of Pittsburgh.  While working towards her Master’s degree, Felicia expanded her experience by becoming an In-Home Family Counselor working with families involved with children and youth services in Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties that were working towards re-unification, or at risk for losing their children to placement.   After obtaining her master’s degree in Community Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Felicia took on the role of Supervisor of Mental Health Case Management Services for an agency that serviced both Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties.  She was there for four years prior to coming to FBR.  Her experience in that role has helped bridge the gap between BHRS and Case Management services for her office.  She also gained much experience with crisis management and assisting persons with serious and persistent mental illnesses.

Felicia is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) as well as being a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania.  Her LPC has allowed her to offer supervision to many FBR staff that are also pursuing this licensure.  Felicia is also a member of FBR’s Child Abuse and Prevention Committee (CAPC).

Felicia resides with her family in Westmoreland County.

WHY FBR?

“My position at FBR has been the most challenging and rewarding in my career.  I have had the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally due to the high standards of quality care that are expected from the staff here.  I am looking forward to many more years of growth to come as a member of the FBR family.”
