Andrea L. Tremel, MS, Clinical Supervisor, FBR Washington Office

Andrea came to FBR in 2008 as a Clinical Supervisor for the Washington office.   Before coming to Family Behavioral Resources, Andrea spent the past 10 years working within the mental health field. Andrea obtained her Bachelor’s of Arts in psychology from Marietta College in Marietta OH and her Masters of Science in Humans Services from Capella University with a focus in counseling services.

Andrea began as a Therapeutic Support Staff (TSS) in 1997 and moved into the roles of Behavior Specialist Consultant and Mobile Therapist in 2004 where she continued that role until coming to FBR.  She also worked as an Outpatient therapist for children and adults. She has always had a deep passion for children and children services.  Throughout her professional career she has volunteered for Special Olympics, Walk Now for Autism Speaks, and Therapeutic Summer Camps.

In addition to her professional career, she spends her free time as a youth advocate for the Dallas United Methodist Church, a Girl Scout troop leader for the past 5 years, as well as volunteers at the local youth sports leagues and a participant of the Susan G. Komen foundation Walk for a Cure.  Andrea is a mother of two children and has five close family members with an ASD diagnosis – further fueling her passion and commitment to understanding and treating ASD.

Andrea resides with her family in Washington County.

WHY FBR?

“FBR continues to provide high standards and excellence in its delivery of service. For me, the integrity of the agency will determine the effectiveness of treatment and change for a family and a child. It is the actions of our agency that allow for this change to occur because of the commitment of the staff, the mangers, and the owners.  Being at FBR allows me to promote and be a part of great change because all of our children are amazing and special and my life is better for knowing them. When I think back over the time I have been with FBR, I remember commitment, dedication, support, laughter, celebration, and success. I can’t imagine being anywhere else. This is why FBR.”
