After working with the New Kensington team for three years as a Mobile Therapist and Behavior Specialist Consultant, Melissa was promoted in November 2009 to Clinical Supervisor of the FBR Armstrong Office. Throughout her employment, Melissa has enjoyed the added opportunities provided by FBR to support the community beyond clinical care through fundraising for autism research and devoting time to assisting with our FBR/ABOARD family support groups. Melissa obtained a degree in psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, she began her career as a TSS with Glade Run Lutheran Services and focused on behavioral concerns with children. Melissa continued to work as a TSS while attending the Masters of Social Work program at the University of Pittsburgh. Autism services were first introduced to Melissa when employed as a TSS with Northwestern Human Services. After graduating with her MSW, Melissa worked with Spectrum Family Network (now Wesley Spectrum Services) as a Family Based Mental Health Therapist, and also a BHRS and Drug and Alcohol Program Supervisor.
