Courtney Walsh, MA, Regional Director of Autism Services, FBR Butler, Cranberry, North Hills and Robinson Offices

Courtney has served as a Regional Director of Autism Services for Family Behavioral Resources since 2005.  She began her career with Family Behavioral Resources at the Brentwood Office, serving as both the Clinical Supervisor and Regional Director of Autism Services until March 2009 when she decided to focus on Autism Services exclusively in the Robinson and Butler offices.

Courtney has focused on training development for staff, improving the quality of Autism Services and increasing awareness in the community through outreach projects such as Mission: Possible events and developing and offering trainings to area school districts. Courtney also collaborates with Autism Speaks as co-chairperson for the Walk Now for Autism refreshments committee, as well as with ABOARD for monthly social skills and support groups for families, and works with other providers of services to children, adults, and families.  Courtney also dedicates time to work on various improvement and enhancement projects as a member of the Community Outreach and Networking Committee. Courtney has even had the opportunity to travel to Harrisburg to rally for insurance reform for children on the Autism Spectrum in 2007.  Courtney also serves as a Certified Trainer for Functionl Behavior Assessment.

Courtney came to Family Behavioral Resources from Pressley Ridge with over 5 years of supervisory experience, focusing her clinical skills with the dually diagnosed population (both ASD and Mental Retardation diagnoses respectively) in both Wraparound and in residential services.  She also was a certified trainer in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, was a member of the Task Force (known as the Child Safety Committee) responsible for continuous quality improvement, and was a facilitator for Experiential Education during the Re-Education conference for staff in 2005.

Courtney enjoys being able to work with clinicians to develop their skills on a weekly basis and seeing how this positively affects the quality of services to families.  She also values the quality management teams she works with in both the Robinson and Butler offices.  Courtney looks forward to expanding the continuum of care at FBR with new services, such as the Autism Adult Waiver program.

WHY FBR?

I came to FBR because I believe that we have a powerful and important role in each child’s and family’s life, and that striving for nothing short of clinical excellence and perfection is what our families deserve from us.  FBR’s mission is to be the best and I am proud to be part of that commitment.”
