The FBR Foundation, Family Behavioral Resources’ non-profit affiliate, was founded in 2004 by Dr. Jerry Joseph, CEO of FBR and Rick J. Murray, BCBA, and COO of FBR .
The FBR Foundation's mission is to increase the awareness, education and programming for those with or working with persons who have behavioral or mental health diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs).
In past years, the FBR Foundation has sponsored a number of efforts, including support of a local challenger sports league (for children with disabilities), seminars for local support organizations, conferences (several of which have featured world-renowned authors), and donations to autism research on behalf of FBR's H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow Team which participates annually in Walk Now for Autism Speaks. The FBR Foundation has also donated to ABOARD, which participates in the annual Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community.
Programming efforts of the foundation include expansion of community outreach services, community social skill groups, transitional services for adolescents and adults, and scholarship funding for students with unique challenges.
