Trauma Services

Resilience - We believe in the capacity to recover from adversity.

“It is Family Behavioral Resources' vision to distinguish itself as a leader in providing trauma-informed care. FBR’s Trauma Services Program will be recognized for its commitment to promoting healing and recovery of individuals subjected to trauma, providing superior treatment based on evidence-based practices while delivering services with dignity, compassion, and respect.”

Trauma Services at FBR

FBR recognizes that it is essential to incorporate an understanding of the enormous impact of trauma on individuals, families and communities. Our commitment to innovative, quality clinical care is demonstrated by the development of a Specialized Trauma team to meet the unique needs of children and families subjected to trauma. The committed professionals that comprise the team have a strong clinical background in treating persons with trauma and attachment needs, including Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors, and Licensed Psychologists.

Our clinical staff utilize an integrative approach to trauma treatment based on the clinical needs of each individual. Trauma Services clinicians have received training in evidence-based treatments including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Treatment approaches are informed by principles of human development and neurodevelopment; respecting current research in the field. The family is an integral component of trauma treatment, and therefore will be included in all phases of treatment.
